Auricular (ear) and Neuro (scalp) acupuncture are dynamic treatments that work in conjunction with a long-term root acupuncture treatment, such as full-body acupuncture.
Auricular acupuncture is particularly renowned for its effectiveness in achieving a balance between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous systems. After catching notoriety and popularity in wellness centers in the early-to-mid 1980s, auricular acupuncture has been a go-to treatment for patients needing detoxification.
There are 39 acupoints in the ear, and 10 of these points are considered masterpoints. Auricular acupuncture will stimulate the lungs, liver, and other organs to work the patient’s body into an active metabolic state for cleansing.
Auricular acupuncture will help patients:
- Detox
- Work through addiction
- Sleep better
- Feel less anxiety
- Reduce migraines
- Decrease depression
- Relieve back pain
- Relieve neck pain
- Heal effectively after sports injuries
Neuro acupuncture or scalp acupuncture works by stimulating the brain cells correlated with particular impairments. The end goal is to stimulate healthy activation and regrowth of inactive or damaged brain cells. Scalp acupuncture is most commonly used to treat patients that are suffering from neurological difficulties, such as:
- Stroke
- Aphasia
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Brain Injury
- PTSD
Our in-house acupuncturist, Jessica Grace Redfern MAOM, Lic. Ac is experienced and skilled in qualifying patient issues. Jessica will create a property acupuncture plan to best suit the particular needs of the patient.
As auricular and scalp acupuncture are typically layered on top of a root therapy, Jessica will determine whether they are appropriate applications for patients’ needs.
